Madonna had the top-grossing concert tour of the year, according to Billboard, followed by Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, and Roger Waters.
The Material Girl grossed $228 million for 72 shows; Springsteen's 72 appearances reaped $199 million, and Waters' 72 gigs netted $186 million.
Country stars Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney came in seventh. Their performances (just 23) brought in $96 million.
Others included Van Halen in the 8th spot; Barbra Streisand in 12th place, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers (No. 15).
Elton was further down the list, at #19. He earned $32,920,986 for 38 gigs. Total attendance was 240,381 and the number of sell-outs was 25.
Rod Stewart and Neil Diamond were #21 and #22. Rod got $30 million for 35 engagements, while Neil ended up with just under $30 million for 30 concerts.
