Elton and his band will perform at the Baton Rouge River Center on Friday, March 29. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. January 18.

The songwriter previously performed in Baton Rouge at the LSU Assembly Center in October 1993 and October 1992. His 1992 concert featured a full band. Elton returned in 1993 with percussionist Ray Cooper.

The March 29 show at the River Center will be the rocker's first full-band performance in Baton Rouge, LA, in more than two decades.

Tickets are $39, $79 and $139. They will be available through Ticketmaster's Web site, the River Center box office and by phone at (800) 745-3000.



 The next night, Elton and his group are scheduled to play South Mississippi.

 

The venue is Biloxi's Coast Coliseum.

 

"It's been more than 10 years since we have hosted Elton John in our facility, and we are very excited to be able to showcase such an international mega-superstar," said Matt McDonnell, Coliseum assistant executive director.

 

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 18 for $39, $79 and $139. They can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com, at the Coliseum box office or by phone at 1-800-745-3000. 

 

A service charge is added and there is an eight-ticket limit per customer.
