The Ovation Channel is offering a slate of new programming, with one of its most appealing options kicking off Thursday, July 18, at 9 p.m. ET.
Music Mavericks is a weekly half-hour series focusing on influential music-makers. The subjects will include Elton, David Bowie, Paul Simon, Johnny Cash, Green Day, Neil Diamond, Tom Petty, and the Velvet Underground. Behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, and performances are to be featured.
Other new shows include Broadway Bash (starting July 19) and Culture Pop (to begin on the 26th of July).
"All these new series demonstrate that 'Art is Everywhere'. We are incredibly proud of our new shows, and we will continue to build our slate with even more original programming as we continue into the fall," said Robert Weiss, Ovation's Chief Creative Officer.
He added that the aim was to "collectively showcase Ovation's commitment to delivering compelling art and cultural programming that satisfies a broad range of tastes and program preferences."
