Elton's costumes are among exhibits on show at Hard Rock Cafe International's base in Orlando, Florida, Associated Press reported on December 23, 2002.

The Hard Rock Vault showcases a portion of the company's 65,000 rock artifacts that rotate among its restaurants, hotels and casinos worldwide.

"When you look at the cafes, we've done a good job of showing the memorabilia, but we never get to tell any of the stories behind it," said Chris Tomasso, Hard Rock's vice president of marketing.

"That kept coming back to us in what we heard from people. They wanted to know the significance of what they saw."

Visitors to the exhibit enter through a tunnel illuminated by vintage images of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. The "Dressing Room" shows off costumes worn by Elton, Madonna, Gene Simmons, Prince and others. It leads to the "Psychedelic Meltdown," with Jimi Hendrix collectibles.
