Elton performed a two hours solo show on October 23, 1999, at the wedding of James Packer, son of Australian media tycoon Kerry Packer.
Elton is said to have been paid $1.2 million for his performance in Sydney, Australia. More than 650 guests arrived at the multi-million-dollar reception. Elton shared stage with blues legend B.B. King and Australian band Human Nature.
