Elton's making a pact with an old "adversary". Onetime Elton buddy Gary Barlow, who famously talked unflatteringly of Elton in an interview about growing old a year ago, is apparently on Elton's new album Songs from the West Coast.

Barlow's vocals are on one of the tracks of the album which is released on October 1, 2001, according to the Daily Star, September 15, 2001.

The former Take That star was invited to sing on This Train Don't Stop There Anymore, expected to become the second single from the album.

A source close to Elton explained: "He still regards Gary as one of the UK's great music talents. They have been friends since the Take That days."
