''I don't think you'll ever see a creative burst like that, musically again.'' That's what Elton says in a new trailer for 1971: The Year That Music Changed Everything, to premiere on Apple TV+ on May 21st.
Besides Elton, the trailer for the 8-part special has clips of names like Jim Morrison; John Lennon; Yoko Ono; Alice Cooper; Tina Turner; Roger Daltrey; Pete Townshend; Bob Marley; Joni Mitchell; Mick Jagger; and Graham Nash.
The docuseries is based on David Hepworth's critically acclaimed book, Never a Dull Moment: 1971 The Year That Rock Exploded. It combines archival footage with more recent interviews to explore the explosive impact rock and roll and R&B had during a politically divisive time.
