Defaced Plaque Elton Dedicated to Late Friend Has Been Replaced

Written by Chief Editor.

Earlier this month, a plaque Elton dedicated to Graham Taylor was vandalised.

It has now been replaced with a shiny new one, which also says: ''In loving memory of friend Graham Taylor. Much loved. Elton.''
Watford's mayor, Peter Taylor, had pledged to have the plaque replaced as soon as possible, after it was discovered by Luther Blissett.
Taylor hopes that, given the ''enormous contribution'' the former player and chairman made to Watford FC and the town, that ''this memorable bench is respected by everyone.''
