Hercules: Rod Says New Album Title Isn't a Dig at The Rocket Man

Written by Chief Editor.

Rod Stewart's upcoming CD is called The Tears of Hercules, leading many to speculate that the title was poking fun at Elton Hercules John.

Rod addressed the issue on Magic Radio. The 76-year-old said the reason for the title is to convey the message that ''a strong man can cry.''

It was recently, he said, that he realised his friend's second name was Hercules.

''I didn't know and the reason for the title, it's quite thought provoking but a strong man can cry and should cry if he feels it necessary.''
