The Rocket Man Jokes About LadBaby's ''Monopoly on Christmas Records''

Elton has confirmed to NME that he and Ed Sheeran have been working on a Christmas song.

It's not finished yet, but his ''big-mouthed'' collaborator ''let the cat out of the bag,'' even though the piano player was ''sworn to secrecy.'' Earlier this month, Ed told Dutch station NPO Radio 2 that his pal had approached him with the idea.
Elton also discussed a possible battle with LadBaby for UK number one.
''We have 'Sausage Roll Man' to deal with, right? We have LadBaby to deal with!'' he laughed. ''Once we bump him up, we may have a clear path to hit record. It looks like he has a monopoly on Christmas records. And good for him!''
In 2020, LadBaby became only the third act in UK chart history {the others were the Beatles and Spice Girls} to score three straight Christmas number one singles. Mark Hoyle and his wife Roxanne (LadBaby Mum) scored with Don't Stop Me Eatin', which raised money for the Trussell Trust
The two previous hits also raised funds for the food bank charity. In 2019, the YouTube star rewrote Joan Jett's I Love Rock & Roll, making it into I Love Sausage Rolls. A year earlier, the British blogger released a comedic version of the Starship's We Built This City, originally penned by Bernie Taupin and Martin Page. We Built This City on Sausage Rolls also extolled the virtues of pork-stuffed pastry.
