Music Rising Auction to Feature Donations From Elton And Other Performers

Written by Chief Editor.

Elton, Ronnie Wood, Dave Grohl, Bruce Springsteen, Slash, Joe Walsh, Alice Cooper, and Paul McCartney are some of the entertainers who have contributed instruments and other memorabilia to an auction benefiting Music Rising, a charity founded by U2's The Edge and producer Bob Ezrin.

The former has donated a signed Yamaha Motif-8 keyboard {not the one in the following photo} that he played in concert for nearly a decade. The auction takes place live and online on the 11th of December, to be hosted by Van Eaton Galleries in Los Angeles, California.

Music Rising began in 2005, in order to support musicians who needed assistance following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The upcoming auction is to raise funds for music-makers affected by the pandemic, as well as Hurricane Ida.
