The Passing of a Celebrity Photographer

Written by Chief Editor.

A photographer who took pictures of Elton and other celebrities at Studio 54 in the seventies has died.

Ron Galella published several books, and was known for going to extreme lengths to snap shots of the likes of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, who took him to court, and Marlon Brando, who punched him.

The 91-year-old, who was a photographer in the Air Force during the Korean War, did have some famous admirers, though.

Andy Warhol, for instance, called him his ''favourite photographer.''

Galella said, ''We had the same social disease,'' regarding their celebrity obsessions: https://nypost.com/ron-galella-paparazzo/.
