Fans will see a new mural of the former Reginald Dwight when he appears at Watford Football Club for a couple of shows next month.
It was created by MurWalls, who called the painting ''a celebration of Elton's love for the football club.''
“I simply had to play Vicarage Road a final time as part of my Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour," the musician has said.
“My relationships with the club, with the fans, the players and the staff over the years have meant the world to me. Through the good times and the bad, Watford has been a huge part of my life.”
Earlier this year, this website reported on a Watford FC mural adorning the subway leading to Vicarage Road Stadium. The artwork, including a depiction of Elton and Graham Taylor, was created by MurWalls . . . part of the club's 100 Years at the Vic celebrations, coinciding with the borough's centenary.
