''Madman Across the Water'' Reissue Hits The Charts

Written by Chief Editor.

The 50th anniversary reissue of Madman Across the Water is making a splash on Billboard's June 25th album charts.

The set debuts in the top 10 on both Top Album Sales and Vinyl Albums. The release also arrives on Top Rock Albums and Catalog Albums, and it charts on the Billboard 200 for the first time in almost half a century.

Madman Across the Water was recently reissued in five new configurations--a deluxe digital album, two-CD set, four LP vinyl box set, a super deluxe three-CD/one Blu-ray box set and a single-LP coloured vinyl pressing. All but the latter includes an array of bonus tracks.

On the Top Album Sales chart, Madman Across the Water is in 8th place with 7,000 copies sold in the U.S. in the week ending June 16, according to Luminate. Of that sum, vinyl sales comprise 3,000--enabling its debut at No. 9 on the Vinyl Albums chart:

Madman Across the Water also makes its debut in Top Rock Albums (#16) and Catalog Albums (#43). What's more, it re-enters the Billboard 200 (#115). It was on the chart dated November 11, 1972, that the LP was listed on the Billboard 200.
