Sir Elton enthused: “The concert will be my 54th in Scotland but my first ever in Airdrie and Lanarkshire.

“I always look forward to returning to Scotland.

“We got an incredible reception in Edinburgh in June, at one of the best shows of the summer.

''And I am sure the people of Monklands will make us feel just as welcome!''
