CountryLine, a new country music app – with high profile investors including Sir Elton – has just been launched.

The first dedicated app of its kind, Countryline is primed to satisfy the growing demand for country music in the UK with on-demand performances, interviews, news, and TV shows, as well as delivering listings, bookings, mobile payments, loyalty and member benefits.

Music Week reports that it was founded by entrepreneur Nathalie Cox and award-winning media/tech entrepreneur Simon Walker, co-developer of BBC’s iPlayer with investment from notables such as Elton, Eric Nicoli (former chairman, EMI) and Ed Richards (former CEO, Ofcom).

A CountryLine subscription costs £2.99 per month or £29.99 for a year. To celebrate Country Music Week and the launch of the app, half price membership is available using code CMW18.
