Alfred A. Knopf will publish a biography about Rollling Stone magazine’s founder on October 24.

Sticky Fingers: The Life and Times of Jann Wenner and Rolling Stone Magazine is written by journalist Joe Hagan.

The wide-ranging tome boasts extensive interviews with Wenner, as well as original source reporting, according to an announcement. It also draws from Wenner’s collection of correspondence and rare documents, many never having been viewed before, and charts Rolling Stone’s journey from San Francisco upstart to internationally recognised brand.

Hagan secured interviews with a wide range of notable figures. Among them were Elton, Billy Joel,  Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Paul McCartney, Cameron Crowe, Pete Townsend, Yoko Ono, Michael Douglas, Jackson Browne, Bette Midler, David Geffen, Tom Wolfe, Annie Leibovitz, and Danny Fields.
