In a bid to shed himself of Elton memorabilia, his ex-manager
John Reid will auction some rarities from his personal collection via Sotheby’s in the next few months. There are 84 lots, most of which are sales awards ranging from the 1970s-90s.
Many of Elton’s albums and singles are represented and prices range from $700-$1600 for white matte format US gold awards to a range of modern CD format awards from various European countries, prices $150-400.
Most are named to John Reid, with some to Rocket Records and others. The rest appears on Sotheby’s website in batches over the next few months. Those interested should go to: www.sothebys.amazon.com
