PBS has announced its fall lineup, and the programmes include an American Masters special featuring contributions from Elton, Cher, Neil Young, Stephen Spielberg and Barry Diller, among others.


Inventing David Geffen airs from 8-10 p.m. ET on Tuesday, November 20. It offers an exclusive and candid look at the legendary Geffen and his far-reaching influence on American popular culture. Besides helping Joni Mitchell and Jackson Browne early in their careers, David co-founded DreamWorks, and has become an important political and philanthropic voice.


Another highly anticipated show is Concert For The Queen: A Diamond Jubilee Celebration With Katie Couric.


It can be seen on ABC on Tuesday, June 5, from 9-11 p.m. ET. 


A veritable who’s who of the music world will appear, including Elton, Paul McCartney, Tom Jones, Stevie Wonder and Annie Lennox. In addition to the performances showcased on the special, Katie Couric will take viewers backstage for an unprecedented view of the festivities, including interviews with some of the concerts biggest stars.  

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, TRH Prince Philip The Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales,  the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Catherine, Prince Harry and other members of the royal family will be in attendance at the concert, which is being held in front of Buckingham Palace. The evening will also include fireworks and a light show.
