Urban Myths tells tales about well-known people which may or may not have actually happened. Past episodes have involved the likes of Bob Dylan and Muhammad Ali.

On the 19th of April, at 9 p.m. in the UK, Sky Arts will broadcast Backstage at Live Aid.

It was inspired by an argument that was said to have occurred between Live Aid organisers Bob Geldof and Midge Ure. It will star Jonas Armstrong as Bob and Martin Compston as Midge. Elton will also be portrayed–by Rufus Jones.

Described as something of an ensemble piece by writer Neil Forsyth, the show recreates some of the alleged events that happened back stage at Live Aid.

He said: “This was inspired by the multiple music industry urban myths about Live Aid I’ve heard and read over the years, and was a chance to bring them all together.

“I also wanted to show how impressive Bob Geldof’s achievement was in putting on the show and the myriad issues he faced on the day, including Elton John being furious with Noel Edmonds for landing his helicopter in his garden and ruining his begonias.”
