On the fifth of April, Sotheby’s in London is to hold an auction called Made In Britain.
The London event showcases some of the best in Modern British art across the disciples of paintings, works on paper, prints, photography, contemporary and studio ceramics and design. These include Terry O’Neill‘s Elton John, Los Angeles, 1975 (Lot 38). This classic was taken at one of Elton’s Dodger Stadium concerts and is signed in black pen in the lower margin.
Others represented in the sale include Damien Hirst, Henry Moore, Christopher Wood, David Hockney, Richard Hamilton, Howard Hodgkin, and Banksy.
