On April 7 at the Scranton Cultural Center and April 8 at F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic will include classic pop by Elton and Billy Joel in two concerts.

Both start at 8 p.m., and ticket information is available by phoning 570-457-8301 or emailing

Then in the summer, the Michigan’s Mackinaw Theater hosts some shows of interest to EJ fans.

Voices In My Head, with tribute artist Stephen Sorrentino, can be seen July 4-July 16 at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

And in August–the 15th-27th, at 3 and 7:30 p.m., the British Invasion takes over.

This consists of ”Elton”, ”David Bowie” and ”Rod Stewart” together on the same stage . . . actually Even Stephen (Stephen Sorrentino), David Brighton and Rob Caudill, recreating the music and good time stage antics of three popular singers.

According to the Music City Journal, “Individually, they are all exceptional performers. They all look and sound strikingly like their prospective alter-egos. The surprise is what happens when they’re all up there together. The chemistry between the three of them is incredible. The good natured way they tease each other and banter with the audience is only part of it. There are some really magic moments. You walk out feeling like you’ve really gotten to know Elton John, David Bowie and Rod Stewart and had a great time doing it. They even bring out some surprise guest stars now and then.”
