Yesterday this Web site announced that the Elton John AIDS Foundation had been named one of the top ten funders of human rights-related HIV philanthropy by Funders Concerned About AIDS (FCAA) in their new report (coming in at #4).

Now the philanthropy has received another recognition. The organisation has received its 11th consecutive 4-star rating from Charity Navigator. Under a new set of enhanced metrics, the EJAF scored a 96.2% overall rating and a 100% rating for accountability and transparency.  According to Michael Thatcher, President and CEO of Charity Navigator, the new ratings mean donors “can have even greater confidence in the financial health of the charities they choose to support.”

The EJAF is one among only 5% of organisations evaluated by Charity Navigator in America that has received five consecutive 4-star ratings, indicating the foundation is a model organisation that consistently holds itself to the highest standards.
