RollingStone‘s latest Special Edition, just out on newsstands and available through December 27, is a look back at the life of John Lennon that makes extensive use of the magazine archives, even going back to its first issue.
The 100-page John Lennon: The Ultimate Guide to His Life, Music & Legend (cover price $11.99) includes subjects such as The Making of ‘Imagine,’ and John’s Last Interview, his last talk with the periodical, done just three nights before his murder.
There’s also The Songwriter, with short quotes about 26 songs he wrote with PaulMcCartney or after the Beatles, a guide to his solo albums, tributes from his fellow artists and lots of photographs, including one of him collaborating with Elton.
