When it comes to Terry O’Neill, October is an important month for his archive.
Two of the most memorable photo moments O’Neill captured were taken in October in the 1970’s. In 1973 he photographed the last performance of David Bowie‘s ‘Ziggy Stardust’ and in 1975 he went on to capture Elton’s performance at Dodger Stadium (on October 25 and 26). The latter was celebrated a few years ago with the book, Two Days That Rocked The World (for which this Web site’s Chief Editor arranged a couple of the interviews).
To celebrate their anniversaries, Iconic Images is offering a special bundle deal of Two Days That Rocked The World and When Ziggy Played The Marquee, both signed by the artist for £100. Click below to view or purchase:
Meanwhile, to celebrate the launch of Terry’s Rare & Unseen, Iconic Images is proud to present Rare & Unseen: The Exhibition, showcasing vintage prints, many of which are being exhibited for the first time.
Everyone who purchases the deluxe edition of Rare & Unseen will receive a VIP Pass to the private opening of the exhibit in London on November 7.
The public display will run from November 8, 2018 through the 30th of January, 2019 at the Iconic Images Gallery.
EJW readers may recall that Terry turned 80 this past summer. To mark his 80th birthday and 60 years in the business, the lensman selected a range of images from his extensive archive–including three EJ images for his latest book, Rare & Unseen.
