Last night Elton and Taron Egerton came onstage for the world premiere of Rocketman Live In Concert at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre.

The two sat on stools to sing (I’m Gonna) Love Me Again before Egerton, who played Elton in the Rocketman biopic, made his own request.

“I’ve sang a few times with Elton John,” the 29-year-old remarked. “But there is one song we have never done live, and I think we should do it now.”

That number was Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me.

Also making appearances were Bernie Taupin; Rocketman director Dexter Fletcher; Jamie Bell, who portrayed Taupin in Rocketman; and Bryce Dallas Howard, who played Elton’s mother.

The one-night-only event also featured the Hollywood Symphony Orchestra scoring the biopic live to picture, as the film was projected before a sold-out crowd of more than 5,000 people.
