On Saturday night, Elton returned to Victoria after a five-year break.

At least 8,000 attended, and according to the Times Colonist, the singer and his band did not disappoint. There were plenty of old favourites, including Rocket Man, Tiny Dancer, Levon, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, and Bennie and the Jets.

Elton only played two cuts from his latest album, Wonderful Crazy Night: Looking Up and A Good Heart.

Dressed in a black-sequined suit, with orange-tinted glasses, the paper says, Elton ”was positively regal, right down to the gold crowns embroidered on his cuffs.”
