Celebrity Fight Night is an annual star-studded evening presented in honour of Muhammad Ali.

Celebrities and athletes take part in a night filled with an assortment of auction items and live musical performances. This power-packed evening not only leaves the audience with unforgettable memories each year, it provides significant dollars for charities. Throughout Celebrity Fight Night‘s 23-year history, $127 million has been raised with the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute as a significant beneficiary. Numerous other organisations have benefited as well.

The next Celebrity Fight Night will take place in September, in Rome, Italy, and as this Web site reported last year, Elton is among the participants.

He’s to play the Gala concert on Friday, September 8, in the world famous Colosseum. David Foster, Steven Tyler, Andrea Bocelli, and Chris Botti are some of the others who will take the stage, and the event is to be aired on RAI Uno television.

Proceeds will help both the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center and Andrea Bocelli Foundation. The latter’s mission is to empower people and communities in situations of poverty, illiteracy, distress due to illness and social exclusion by promoting and supporting national and international projects that promote the overcoming of these barriers.

There are other events taking days before the main attraction (and after).
