Diamonds is now Elton’s 20th Top 10 album on the Billboard 200.

His greatest hits package, originally released in November 2017,  vaults from No. 23 to No. 7 (on the chart dated June 15).

Meanwhile, the soundtrack to Rocketman, consisting primarily of Taron Egerton’s covers, is up from #58 to #50.

The Rolling Stones have the most Billboard 200 top 10s: 37. They are followed by Barbra Streisand (34), the Beatles (32), Frank Sinatra (32), Elvis Presley (27), Bob Dylan (22), Madonna (21), George Strait (21), Elton (20) and Paul McCartney/Wings (20).

The Billboard 200 dates to March 24, 1956, when Billboard launched its first regularly published weekly albums chart. That list (then named ‘Best Selling Popular Albums’) would eventually morph into what is now known as the Billboard 200.
