The West Sussex County Times has revealed that a well-known musician will be reading a book published by a Horsham-based company on CBeebies Bedtime Stories.

Children’s book publisher Maverick Publishing say they are thrilled to announce that Elton will be reading The Dog Detectives: Lost in London on Thursday, May 3rd, at 6.50 p.m.

Maverick will be publishing a brand new edition of the book, on the 28th of September, to celebrate the luminary’s appearance on the show. A Maverick spokesman tells EJW’s Chief Editor that they plan to ask the BBC for permission to print ”As seen on CBeebies Bedtime Stories read by Sir Elton John.”

Other notables who have read tales on CBeebies include Dolly Parton; Josh Homme; Tom Hardy; and David Tennant.
