The promoter of Elton’s summer 2016 concert at the Lincolnshire Showground urges fans not to miss out as tickets are selling fast.

People began buying tickets last month, for the show on June 10, next year.

Promoter Ben Martin, from Marshall Arts Ltd, said: “Ticket sales are really strong and I would urge people not to miss out.

“The fact is this is an incredibly hot ticket across the board, whether a £40 or hospitality ticket, and there’s a real energy for this concert in Lincolnshire and further afield.”
Almost 500 hospitality tickets have sold out in just two days.

Jenny Willows, sales manager at the showground, revealed: “We started off with 200 covers but demand was so great we upped that to 500.

“Now, we expect the general ticket sales to go really well too

The Rocket Man announced a “homecoming” concert at the venue – his first full band live performance in the county for 40 years.

Marshall Arts Ltd will set up a temporary outdoor 15,000-seater arena for the Lincoln leg of Sir Elton’s Wonderful Crazy Night tour.

The songwriter told the Echo: “Lincoln is an important stop on this tour – my lifelong writing partner, Bernie Taupin, grew up very close to Lincoln so it’s a sort of homecoming, and one that is long overdue. I hope to see you all there.”
