Miley Cyrus will join Sir Elton at tonight’s Grammy Awards to perform one of the music icon’s classics, in celebration of him and his longtime writing partner, Bernie Taupin, receiving the Recording Academy President‘s Merit Award.

CBS will broadcast the show, which starts at 7:30 p.m. ET. There will also be a Red Carpet event with lots of stars prior to this.

Incidentally, last night, Reelz ran Elton John: The Nation’s Favourite Song, which mixed rich archive footage and home videos with newer interviews to paint a picture of the incredibly dynamic man behind the music. The former Reg Dwight shared stories about his trademark outrageous wardrobe choices and detailed his 50-year working relationship with lyricist Bernie Taupin in addition to discussing his many collaborations, including those with Kiki Dee and the late George Michael. There were also interviews with notables who Elton has worked with or inspired throughout the years including Ed Sheeran, Sharon Osbourne, James Corden, Annie Lennox, Lionel Richie, Rod Stewart, Sting, Chris Martin, Billy Joel, James Bay, Quincy Jones, Boy George, Dionne Warwick, and Rob Lowe.

The broadcast originally aired on ITV in November, part of the channel’s regular music countdown series.

If you missed this, or wish to watch it again, Reelz will repeat the programme on Monday night, beginning 9 p.m. ET.
