Yesterday Elton performed at the BBC Radio 2 festival.
His Hyde Park appearance impressed the Evening Standard, which noted that even approaching 70, the pop maestro ”seemed more vital than ever. An impressive new album helps – his warm croon on A Good Heart stood up well against the classics.”
Elton and his band also did a lot of older compositions such as Crocodile Rock, Your Song, Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me and Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting).
In addition, they performed Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me, which Elton dedicated to George Michael.
“I love you, I think you’re amazing,” he commented.
