The start time for WTT Smash Hits on Monday, October 10, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas has been moved up to 6:30 p.m. Pacific. The one-night AIDS charity tennis event, co-hosted by Sir Elton and Billie Jean King, features some of tennis’ biggest names.

The night begins with a celebrity set featuring Sir Elton, Martina Navratilova, Andy Roddick and a special surprise guest.

Tennis aces like Andy Roddick, John McEnroe, Lindsay Davenport, Mardy Fish and Mark Philippoussis will then battle in a World TeamTennis match coached by John and King. The match will feature one set each of men’s and women’s doubles, mixed doubles and men’s singles. The final two players will be announced in the coming weeks.

The action takes place on a specially-constructed stadium court outside Caesars Palace. Prior to the tennis, the players will take part in a live auction at the VIP Reception. Among the items expected to generate significant interest are a signed Elton John piano bench, King’s Wimbledon tickets, and a song dedication from John during his Million Dollar Piano show at Caesars Palace.
