It was announced yesterday that Elton would be doing a new tour next year. Two dates in Paris for the Wonderful Crazy Night tour have been divulged, and now there are three more, for British followers.

On the 10th of June 2016, at the Lincolnshire Showground, Elton will perform in Lincolnshire for the first time with his band since 1973, when he played Boston’s Starlight Rooms. And this will be a “once in a lifetime” event, as Elton has never played Lincoln itself before.

The next evening, Elton and his band will grace Grace Road in Leicester. He hasn’t played Leicester since a 1976 show at De Montfort Hall.
Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket Chief Executive Wasim Khan said: “We are looking forward to welcoming Sir Elton John to Grace Road. To have somebody of Elton’s stature coming to Leicestershire will not only raise the profile of the city both nationally and internationally, but will also support the economy of Leicester.

“It will be the biggest non-cricketing event that Leicestershire County Cricket Club has ever staged and will be a focal point of our 2016 summer calendar.”

Also in June–on the 19th–Elton and his group will appear at the Westpoint Exeter.

The pop maestro has only performed in Exeter twice before, once in 1973 and once in 2003 solo.

On having Elton play Exeter, Chief Executive Richard Maunder said:

“We are delighted to be welcoming Sir Elton John to Westpoint Exeter. It will be the first outdoor concert since planning permission was granted in 2012 for 3 outdoor concerts per year, and I am sure it will be well supported by all those who love the music that the ‘Rocket Man’ has belted out during his amazing 40-year career. It promises to be a night to remember.”
