Last week, Ed Sheeran shared two new singles, Shape Of You and Castle On The Hill.

Forbes says the first one contains ”hints of tropical influences.”

Castle On The Hill is quite different, ”opting for more of a traditional pop-rock style.”

This sees Ed becoming nostalgic about a love he once had, and in the song, he refers to Elton’s Tiny Dancer. The tune was co-produced by Benny Blanco, who had a hand in producing and writing songs like Maroon 5’s Maps and Animals; Kesha’s Die Young; and Katy Perry’s California Gurls.

Both of these singles are the first two tracks to be released from Sheeran’s upcoming third full-length album, ÷, which is pronounced “divide.” No release date has been set yet.

Ed is one of Elton’s Rocket Music artists.
