After Sir Elton and YouTube asked fans to create music videos (to celebrate the rocker’s 50th anniversary of working with Bernie Taupin) for three classics, NBC‘s Today Show was inspired by the idea.

This morning, the hosts ran the world premiere of their video for Bennie and the Jets. They noted that there’s one more week left to enter the contest, which has been extended (details at

The Today Show video  featured Matt Lauer, Al Roker, Kathie Lee Gifford, Hoda Kotb, Carson Daly and Tamron Hall.
