A Kylie Minogue tribute act is organising a gig in Hinckley with Elton John and Cheryl Cole personas to raise money for charity in memory of her mother-in-law.

According to the Hinckley Times, Terry Bevington, a popular actress who starred in scores of shows at the Concordia Theatre, died a couple of years ago.

The 64-year-old had battled multiple sclerosis for quite some time, but was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer just two weeks before her death.

Her daughter-in-law, Joanne Bevington, is now organising a music event to raise money for the MS Society and Breast Cancer Care in memory of Terry.

Joanne, whose stage name is Joanne Steel, said: “I have been doing a Kylie tribute for more than 14 years now and my mum-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer around the same time as Kylie was.

“Unfortunately Terry died two weeks after being diagnosed and I’ve been determined to raise money for breast cancer research ever since.

“I’ve done a few charity events over the years and I thought it would be a good idea to include MS this time too.”

The event is taking place at the Leicester Road Stadium on November 25 at 7.30 p.m.

Charlotte Davis will be playing Cheryl Cole – or Cheryl Fernandez-Versini – and Andy Cosby will be Elton.

Tickets cost £8 for adults and £2 for children if pre-booked or £2 extra if purchased on the door. Parking is free and tickets include a raffle and late-night disco.

To book or for more information call Joanne on 07974 820737.
