On June 30th, Tumbleweed Connection was reissued.

This is part of an initiative to have a greater representation of Elton’s catalogue on vinyl in the marketplace – to mark Elton’s turning 70 and celebrate 50 years of the writing partnership between Elton and Bernie Taupin.
All of the ”Tumbleweed” tracks were remastered from the original analogue tapes by Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering in Portland, Maine, with vinyl cutting by Sean Magee at Abbey Road Studios in London, England . The artwork has been faithfully reproduced from the original.
As reported previously, 10 releases are planned in all and can be purchased at Amazon’s Web site.
Besides Tumbleweed Connection and Honky Chateau, which came out on the 7th of July, Don’t Shoot Me I’m Only The Piano Player and Caribou are on its way later this month, while Rock of the Westies and The Big Picture will be released on August 25, followed by Empty Sky and Blue Moves (September 22); and One Night Only–The Greatest Hits and Sleeping With The Past (the 20th of October).
