On the third of May, Elton read a book published by a Horsham-based company on CBeebies Bedtime Stories.

As previously revealed, the children’s book publisher, Maverick Publishing, said they were thrilled to be able to announce that the rock luminary would be reading The Dog Detectives: Lost in London

Maverick will be publishing a brand new edition of the book, on the 28th of September, to celebrate Elton’s appearance on the show. A Maverick spokesman told EJW that they plan to ask the BBC for permission to print ”As seen on CBeebies Bedtime Stories read by Sir Elton John.”

Other notables who have read tales on CBeebies include Dolly Parton; Josh Homme; Tom Hardy; and David Tennant.

If you’re in the UK and missed this–or just want to see it again, Elton John’s Bedtime Story is available to watch now on iPlayer.
